Our Team – Musician Bios
Sara Lane Rees, Cello
Sara Lane Rees is the director of Sarabande and a professional cellist who achieved a Masters from the Royal Northern College of Music. With over 15 years of experience directing music ensembles, Sara also works with the Royal Shakespeare Company and local orchestras, has played at the Royal Albert Hall, performed with the CBSO, appeared on Top of the Pops and toured with bands including James.
Known for her vibrant energy and excellent communication skills, Sara brings a dynamic presence to every performance. She is passionate about using music to create a beautiful ambiance and lasting memories.
Jacqueline Hill, Violin
Jacqueline Hill graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire before completing a post grad at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Jacqueline has pursued a varied career mixing musical styles; she has toured with classical and pop artists including Yehudi Menhuin, Nigel Kennedy, Barry Manilow, Chris de Burgh and The Who. Jacqueline has performed with artists such as Cliff Richard, Alice Cooper, Damon Albarn and Paul Young.
As a member of the English Symphony Orchestra for over 25 years, Jacqueline is now enjoying spending time on other musical projects communicating to others through the therapy of music.
Da-Hee Kim, Piano
Award-winning pianist Da-Hee Kim holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University and has studied at the CNSM de Paris and the University of Performing Arts Munich.
Da-Hee performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe. She has performed at Steinway Hall in London and Salle Colonne in Paris. She has appeared as a soloist with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra, Varna National Orchestra and Russian Philharmonic Orchestra. Da-Hee co-founded Duo Ainos with Da-Min Kim, performing at prestigious events, and has released a critically acclaimed album. Da-Hee also works as an accompanist at the Birmingham Royal Ballet School.
